At 1256 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Grand Junction, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include... Grand Junction, Palisade, Cameo, Fruitvale, Clifton, Orchard Mesa, and Redlands.
This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 27 and 41, and between mile markers 45 and 60. U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 32 and 34. Colorado 65 between mile markers 53 and 61. Colorado 141 near mile marker 162.
