Flood Warning

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Southwestern Cochise County in southeastern Arizona...

* WHEN...Until 730 PM MST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 425 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sierra Vista, Hereford, Fort Huachuca, Palominas, Coronado National Memorial and Ramsey Canyon Preserve. - This includes the following highways... Route 90 between mile markers 324 and 336. Route 80 between mile markers 328 and 335. Route 92 between mile markers 323 and 345.
