The National Weather Service in Tucson has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for... Southeastern Graham County in southeastern Arizona... Southern Greenlee County in southeastern Arizona...

* Until 930 PM MST.

* At 537 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Safford, Clifton, Solomon, Morenci, San Jose, Safford Regional Airport, Roper Lake State Park, Duncan, York, Franklin, Guthrie, Three Way and Swift Trail Junction.

This includes the following highways... Route 78 between mile markers 155 and 174. Route 191 between mile markers 93 and 115...and between mile markers 131 and 176. Route 75 between mile markers 379 and 398. Route 70 between mile markers 342 and 385. Route 266 between mile markers 105 and 113.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Ward Canyon Rd.

Significant flash flooding is occurring over much of Greenlee County. Campbell Street crossing Carlisle Wash has been destroyed. Sand Wash is also seeing significant flash flooding.
