* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Cook County in northeastern Illinois... Northwestern DuPage County in northeastern Illinois... Northeastern Kane County in northeastern Illinois...
* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 355 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing rainfall rates of up to 2 to 3 inches per hour. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen in portions of far northeast Kane County. 1 inch of rain was reported in about 15 minutes in Barlett. Flash flooding is already occurring according to reports from the Elgin area.
HAZARD...Significant flash flooding.

IMPACT...Rapid-onset, significant flooding of creeks, streams, drainage ditches, low-lying areas, and poor drainage areas. Widespread street and underpass flooding. Possible flooding of structures. Possible flooding of highways.
