At 400 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing rainfall rates up to 3 inches per hour. Up to 3 inches of rain has occurred from these storms so far near Elgin. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
