- Forecast Bar is free to download; live weather requires a subscription, and every subscription includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.

- Gold (premium) and Silver (standard). One subscription covers iPhone and iPad.
- Mac tiers
- Pro (premium) and Plus (standard). Mac plans are separate from iOS plans.

Questions about plans
How much does Forecast Bar cost?
Forecast Bar is free to download, and live weather requires a subscription. Every subscription starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, so you can try everything your plan includes before you're charged. Current pricing is shown in the App Store. Mac and iOS plans are separate; Apple TV is included with Forecast Bar Gold on iOS. See Compare Plans for what each tier includes.
Do I need separate subscriptions for iPhone and Mac?
Yes. iPhone & iPad use the Gold and Silver tiers; Mac uses Pro and Plus. An iOS subscription does not unlock the Mac app and vice versa.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every subscription includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Cancel any time during the trial week in your Apple ID subscription settings and you pay nothing. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple per Apple Account.
Does my subscription work on Family Sharing?
On iPhone & iPad, yes — Gold and Silver each offer a Family plan: turn on the Family Sharing option on the subscription screen and everyone in your Apple Family Sharing group is covered. Individual iOS plans and the Mac plans (Pro and Plus) are not shared through Family Sharing.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Upgrades and downgrades are handled by Apple in your subscription settings, and take effect according to Apple's proration rules — upgrades immediately, downgrades at the next renewal.
Is Forecast Bar available on Setapp?
Yes — Forecast Bar Pro for Mac is included with a Setapp membership, alongside hundreds of other Mac apps, with no separate subscription.
