Alerts for the way you actually live.
Most weather apps alert on one thing: severe weather. Forecast Bar's alert system is broad enough to be personal.
The commuter
A precipitation nowcast before the rain reaches you, and a morning report with the day ahead before you pick a jacket — or a bike.
The gardener
An overnight freeze alert when the temperature is about to dip below your threshold — before the frost gets your seedlings.
The photographer
Beautiful Sunset alerts when conditions favor a good one, aurora visibility for your location, plus eclipse and supermoon notices.
The boater
Tide alerts for the water and custom wind-speed thresholds so you know when it's a sailing day — and when it isn't.
The allergy-prone
Pollen alerts when counts climb and air quality alerts when the AQI crosses the line you set.
The safety-first
NWS severe weather at the moment of issue for US locations, plus earthquake notifications for seismic activity near you.
Turn on exactly the alerts you want — and tune them.
Every alert is a switch, and most have thresholds you control: sunset quality above 5.0 sent 45 minutes before, earthquakes above magnitude 3.5 within 100 miles, wind above the speed that cancels your plans. It's your definition of important, not ours.
- Custom alerts on 14 data points with your own thresholds
- Wind, overnight freeze, UV, humidity, pressure, and more
- Sunset and sunrise quality, aurora, eclipse, supermoon
- Solstice, equinox, tide, pollen, AQI, earthquake
Alerts land where you already look.
Notifications arrive natively on iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac. Severe weather comes through at the moment the NWS issues it for US locations, scheduled morning and evening reports bookend your day, and quiet hours keep the rest polite.
- Native notifications on iPhone, Watch, and Mac
- Morning and evening reports on your schedule
- Quiet hours hold routine alerts while you sleep
When rain starts, the alert becomes a tracker.
A nowcast tells you rain is coming; a Live Activity shows you how it unfolds. On iPhone, Forecast Bar can track precipitation minute by minute on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, then quietly dismiss itself when it's over.
- Precipitation nowcasts when rain or snow is near
- Minute-by-minute Live Activity chart of the next hour
- Ends on its own when the precipitation does
An honest note about coverage.
Severe weather alerts come from the US National Weather Service, delivered at the moment of issue — which also means they cover US locations only. If you're outside the US, Forecast Bar won't pretend otherwise.
Everything else in the alert lineup — precipitation nowcasts, custom threshold alerts, sunset and aurora, tides, pollen, AQI, earthquakes, and daily reports — works worldwide.
