Daily Reports deliver a forecast summary straight to your notifications — a quick read on the day ahead with your morning coffee, or a look at tomorrow before bed. Like all Forecast Bar notifications, they need a real subscription, Sign in with Apple, and notification permission — see Alerts & Notifications Overview.
Turning reports on
Go to Settings → Notifications → Daily Reports:
| Report | Subscription | Default delivery time |
|---|---|---|
| Morning Report | Silver | 7:00 AM |
| Evening Report | Gold | 6:00 PM |
Both are off until you enable them. On the Mac, Silver is called Plus and Gold is called Pro — see Plans & Tiers.
Smart Weather Story reports
New in 11.6, for Gold. Once either report is on, a Smart Weather Story switch appears beneath them (off by default). Turn it on and your reports are written as a Smart Weather Story — the day's real story up front, tuned to your location and the season — instead of the standard forecast narrative. An optional What should we prioritize? field tells it what to lead with, for example rain timing, wind for cycling, or the school run.
A send a test button under the reports delivers the real report to this device now, in whichever style you've chosen, so you can see the result without waiting for the morning. The same switch is on the Smart Weather Stories screen, and on the Mac under Settings → Notifications → Daily Reports.
Choosing delivery times
Each report has its own Send Morning Report At / Send Evening Report At time picker. Times snap to 15-minute steps, so you can have the morning report at 6:45 and the evening report at 9:15 if that fits your routine.
What's in a report
Each report is a daily forecast summary for your location, delivered as a notification — conditions, temperatures, and what to expect for the period ahead. The morning report covers your day; the evening report looks ahead so you can plan tomorrow. Tap the notification to open Forecast Bar for the full forecast.
Tip: If reports arrive during your Forecast Bar Do Not Disturb quiet hours, they'll be silenced — check that your delivery times fall outside the quiet window.
