Forecast Bar is free to download, and a subscription is required to receive live weather: without one, the app shows the subscription screen instead of forecasts. Every subscription includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, and pricing for every plan is shown in the app.

Everything Forecast Bar can do: extended radar, precipitation alerts, Live Activities, AI forecasts, the Apple TV app, and more
Silver
The essentials: live forecasts, animated radar, widgets, Apple Watch, and severe weather alerts
Bronze (legacy)
An older appearance-focused tier that is no longer sold. Existing Bronze subscribers keep their features
Tiers are cumulative — Gold includes everything in Silver, and both include the legacy Bronze appearance features.
Note: On the Mac, the same tiers use different names: Pro is Gold and Plus is Silver. Wherever this manual says Gold or Silver, read Pro or Plus on the Mac.
Platform coverage
iPhone, iPad & Apple TV share one subscription. The Apple TV app is included with Gold — subscribe on your iPhone or iPad (or on the TV itself) and it unlocks on Apple TV under the same Apple Account.
Mac subscriptions (Pro and Plus) are a separate purchase from iOS. An iPhone subscription does not unlock the Mac app, and vice versa.
Setapp users of the Mac app get everything (Pro level) as part of their Setapp membership — no separate purchase.
On iPhone and iPad, both Gold and Silver are also available as Family Sharing plans that cover your whole Apple Family.
