Forecast Bar can speak your forecast — ask Siri from anywhere, or play it inside the app. Siri Shortcuts require a Silver subscription or above; the AI Summaries option additionally requires Gold. See Plans & Subscriptions.

Built-in Siri commands
Five commands work out of the box — no setup needed. Just say any of these to Siri:

The data point command
The Weather Data Point command answers for any of these 16 data points — say the one you want in place of data point:
Temperature, Feels Like, Humidity, Wind Speed, Wind Gusts, UV Index, Dew Point, Pressure, Visibility, Cloud Cover, Precipitation Chance, Heat Index, Wind Chill, Air Quality, Sunrise, and Sunset. For example: "What's the UV Index in Forecast Bar."
Note: If you ask Siri without an active subscription, it replies: "Siri Shortcuts require a Forecast Bar subscription. Open the app to learn more."
Use AI Summaries
At the top of the Siri Shortcuts screen, the Use AI Summaries toggle (off by default) has Siri speak an AI-written summary instead of a standard readout — the same intelligence behind Forecast Bar AI. This toggle requires Gold; below Gold it's disabled with a note that reads "Requires Gold subscription."
Custom Voice Phrases
Don't want to say "in Forecast Bar"? Record your own trigger phrases:
- Forecasts — add a personal phrase for each of the four forecast commands (Current Weather, Today's Forecast, Tomorrow's Forecast, Extended Forecast).
- Data Points — add a personal phrase for any of the 16 data points, so "How's the pollen?" can become your air quality shortcut.
Tap an entry, record the phrase you want, and Siri will respond to it from then on.
The Shortcuts app
Tap the Shortcuts App link to open Apple's Shortcuts app, where Forecast Bar's commands can be combined into automations — for example, speaking today's forecast automatically when your morning alarm goes off, or when you connect to CarPlay.
In-App Playback
Forecast Bar can also read forecasts aloud inside the app:

Add more voices in the iOS Settings app (under Accessibility → Spoken Content) and they appear in the Voice picker automatically.
Preview
The Preview player at the bottom of the screen plays a spoken forecast with your chosen voice, rate, and AI setting — a quick way to hear exactly what Siri will sound like before you ask.
