⏳ Free 24-Hour Unlock & Trials

New users get 24 hours with everything unlocked, and new subscribers get a free trial week on top.

Forecast Bar gives you two separate ways to try everything before paying: a 24-hour full unlock the moment you first launch the app, and a free trial week attached to the subscription itself.

The 24-hour full unlock

The first time you launch Forecast Bar on iPhone or iPad and tap Get Started, the app unlocks at the Gold level for the next 24 hours — no purchase, no card, no sign-up. Explore the whole app: live forecasts, extended radar and every radar layer, the mini radar map, widgets, AI forecasts, location compare, and all the appearance options.

What doesn't unlock

Features that run on Forecast Bar's servers need a real subscription and stay locked during the free unlock:

  • Push notifications and alerts of any kind (severe weather, precipitation, sunsets, celestial events, and so on)
  • Daily morning and evening reports
  • The Precipitation Live Activity
  • Downloadable city background packs

Everything else — everything that runs on your device — is open.

The countdown banner

While the unlock is active, a banner along the bottom of the main screen shows how much time is left in your free unlock, along with rotating highlights of what you're currently enjoying and a Subscribe button. Subscribing at any point simply continues without interruption.

One per install

The unlock is for genuinely new users and runs once. It doesn't repeat if you reinstall the app or wait it out. When the 24 hours end, the app shows the subscription screen — see Plans & Tiers to pick a plan.

The free trial week

Separate from the 24-hour unlock, Forecast Bar's subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers — the subscribe button on iPhone and iPad reads Redeem Your Free Week, and the Mac plans include a free intro week too. You aren't charged until the trial week ends, and you can cancel any time before then in your Apple subscription settings (see Subscribe, Restore & Manage).

Tip: The two stack nicely: spend your first 24 hours exploring everything, then start the subscription's free week — including the server-side alerts the unlock can't reach — before any charge.

Note: Trial eligibility is determined by Apple per Apple Account; if you've subscribed before, the button may show the price without the free week.
